Brighton Open Air Theatre – Wind in the Willows at BOAT

Brighton Open Air Theatre - Wind in the Willows at BOAT. Family outdoor theatre this summer touring Sussex. Kenneth Graham's novel adapted for theatreWind in the willows comes to boat!

We’re extremely lucky to live in Brighton and be able to visit the Brighton Open Air Theatre aka BOAT. Over this summer there are so many wonderful productions on at BOAT, but we are particularly excited to go and see The Wind in The Willows. Some of my most vivid childhood memories are of watching outdoor performances of Shakespeare at beautiful Somerset locations. I’m starting Luther off with something a little more child friendly! He is only 16 months old after all!

This magical, musical adaptation of The Wind in the Willows
aims to capture all the wit and adventure of Kenneth Grahame’s novel. The book delighted me as a child and I hope Luther will also love the tale of Ratty, Mole and Badger.

This production is touring and starts at Brighton Open Air Theatre on the 5th July. It then moves to Lewes Castle and onto Worthing.

Brighton Open Air Theatre – July 5-9 – 2pm and 7pm

Lewes Castle – July 21/22/23 at 7pm

Highdown Gardens, Worthing – July 25-28 at 2pm & 7pm

Tickets: £12.00 (£10.00 concessions) £40.00 Family Ticket

The show lasts 2 hours with an interval and we’ll be taking a picnic and blankets! Maybe I’ll dress Luther up as a rat…or a little toad.
