These toys are made for walkin’!
Little Tikes sent Luther two toys from their Light ‘n Go range to roadtest, the 3-in-1 Activity Walker and Catchin’ Lights Tiger. We’ve had them for three months now and have really put them through their paces. Luther has used them in different ways as he’s gone from crawling to walking on his own.
The toys are aimed at 12 – 18 months and designed to use light to inspire your baby to move around. Luther didn’t need any encouragement to move but has loved interacting with these toys.
The Light ‘n Go – 3-in-1 Activity Walker
This toy was instantly fascinating to 11 month old Luther. He spent the first few days with it just playing with the front activity section until he realised he could walk along pushing the back of it. The glee at being able to move using it was so sweet to watch. He went up and down our hallway and learnt how to manouveur it around to turn himself to come back once he’s reached a door or wall. The activity station on the front of the walker is fantastic. Initially he played with the obvious buttons that played music and make lights flash but as he got older he explored the little intricusies and the fiddly parts were fascinating.
Even once he’d managed to walk on his own, just before turning one, he was still using the walker. It clearly made him feel important and busy!
Now that’s he’s completely happy on his feet I’ve collapsed the walker so it’s an activity table. He really enjoys turning the cogs and playing with it. There are over 70 different features to it so he’s not going to tire of it any time soon.
Light ‘n Go – Catchin’ Lights Tiger
The face of the tiger is very friendly and Luther spent a long time eyeballing him. As the tiger is pushed he projects a light in front of him and he growls before the music starts. The light changes colour and the tigers body lights up as the songs play.
The initial growl the tiger makes is energising. Except when unpacking the car in the dark and he goes off unexpectedly – then it’s terrifying!
Luther really enjoys this tiger. He hasn’t really got to grips with pushing him along whilst walking, instead he carries him around! He laughs when the lights come on and this is a really sweet toy.
Little Tikes sent Luther these toys to test but all views are my own…. and Luther’s.
