Baptising Our Baby – Somerset Style

We were blessed with glorious weather last weekend, which was extra special because we were in Somerset for Luther’s Christening. Family and friends descended, and the weekend was filled with rounders on the lawn, scones, and fizz (sparkling elderflower for me!) My mum had cooked a gammon and an astonishingly huge variety of puddings. Luther’s daddy carved the meat and made plate after plate of salad. Needless to say, no one went hungry.

We were lucky that all four of Luther’s fantastic godparents could make it for the service and Sunday lunch. Luther was rather overwhelmed and when everyone had left he slept for 13 hours!

We discovered that Luther likes a beanbag and an open fire, and he smiles at bright lipstick.
